Danielle Douek

Prior to joining Legate in 2016, Danielle practiced insurance defence litigation with a focus on serious motor vehicle accidents and medical negligence cases. Danielle has significant experience providing representation to healthcare practitioners and healthcare institutions, including hospitals, and brings this insight to her clients who have been injured by medical negligence.

Danielle is a passionate advocate. In addition to successful results at trial and at the appellate level, Danielle has further developed her trial skills through completing the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop at Osgoode Hall Law School (2012) and the Building Trial Skills Program through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (2014).














Danielle was called to the bar in 2010, after clerking with the Superior Court of Justice in the Central South Region. Danielle is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, where she is currently working towards her Master of Laws in Health Law.

Danielle is passionate about contributing to her community and has been a committee member with the Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario for several years.
